Deskbudi
A tiny companion that lives on your desktop.
Deskbudi is a cozy pet for Windows. It sits on your screen, naps when the room is quiet, wanders off and comes back. Keep a plant next to it and watch it grow over months - one frame a day, no rush.
Free to download. No account, no sign-up. Optional characters and plants are one-time purchases.
What it does
Small things that make a desk feel less empty.
A companion, not an app window
Your pet sits directly on the desktop, walks between windows, naps, and reacts when you click it. Several characters can share the screen at once.
Plants that actually take their time
A plant changes one step a day, and it takes months to bloom. Water it, feed it, and it will still be there next season.
Gentle reminders
Set a reminder for a time or a date and let the pet tell you. It will not take over your screen - it just walks up and says it.
Focus sessions
A simple timer with optional background soundscapes for deep work. The pet settles down while the timer runs.
Little breaks for your eyes
Short eye-relaxing exercises and small games you can play for a minute between tasks.
Make it yours
Rooms, wallpapers and seasonal decorations. Everything is stored on your own machine.
A look at it
Artwork from the app: a room, a plant at full bloom, and a wallpaper.
